Uninstall problems

COM disabled

Problem: You have a previous version of ColdFusion on the system. When you uninstall ColdFusion MX 7, COM is disabled.

Solution: You must re-register the typeviewer.dll file associated with the previous version of ColdFusion.

It's also recommended search for "typeviewer.dll" entries on the registry and delete then before re-registering.

It would be helpful to have instructions on how to remove CFMX 7. My installation (multiserver configuration) appears to have no way to uninstall it. Nothing under Start > Programs. Nothing under Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

I could find instructions on macromedia.com for manually unistalling CFMX 6, but not v 7.

On my laptop, the Add/Remove Programs control panel lists the multiserver configuration as Macromedia ColdFusion MX 7 with JRun 4.
