A general overview on Date conversion (specifically, converting a data string extracted from a database to a human-readable format) would be helpful on this page.

The function dateformat is for that purpose... Reading through the function names, its fairly obvious but...

#DateFormat(now(),"mmmm, dd, yyyy")# would return October 15, 2004 (right now anyway).
